Privacy Policy
Last updated on December 31, 2025.
Yokoi, LLC. ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates Hearing Highlights, a congressional hearing intelligence service. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our website, applications, and services (collectively, the "Service").
By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Service.
Information We Collect
Information You Provide Directly. We collect information you provide when you create an account (email address, name, and password), subscribe to our Service (work email address and, for paid subscriptions, billing information processed by our payment processor), contact us, or provide feedback.
Information We Collect Automatically. When you access the Service, we automatically collect device information (IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers), usage information (pages viewed, links clicked, features used, and time spent on the Service), and log data (access times, error logs, and referring URLs). We use Cloudflare Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics service that does not use cookies or track individual users across websites.
Information We Derive or Research. To personalize the Service, we derive and research information about you and your organization based on publicly available sources. We infer your employer or organization from your work email domain. We research publicly available information about your organization, including lobbying disclosure filings under the Lobbying Disclosure Act ("LDA"), industry classification, publicly stated policy positions, and other publicly available business information. Based on this research, we infer which congressional hearings and policy issues are likely relevant to your organization. This derived and researched information is stored and used solely to personalize your experience and determine which hearings are relevant to you.

How We Share Your Information
Service Providers. We share your information with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf, including Amazon Web Services (AWS SES) for email delivery, Cloudflare for hosting, content delivery, analytics, video streaming, and storage, DigitalOcean for server hosting, and AI service providers (Google/Gemini, OpenAI, and Anthropic) for generating personalized summaries and relevance notes. To provide personalization, we may share your company name and inferred interests with AI providers.
Note: We do not share any user personal information with AssemblyAI, our transcription provider. AssemblyAI only processes publicly available congressional hearing audio.
Sponsors. Our free tier includes sponsored content. We may share the list of companies represented by our subscribers (based on email domains) and the number of subscribers associated with each company with sponsors. We do not share individual subscriber names, email addresses, or personal contact information with sponsors.
Legal Requirements. We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to a subpoena, court order, or other legal process, a request from a government agency or law enforcement authority, to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of our users or others, or to investigate potential violations of our Terms of Service.
Business Transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email and/or a prominent notice on our website of any change in ownership or uses of your personal information.
Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the Service. After unsubscribe, we retain your information for 30 days, after which it is deleted from our active systems. We may retain a hashed version of your email address on a suppression list to ensure we do not inadvertently email you after you have unsubscribed. We may retain certain information for longer periods as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.
